In General

Wash your hands. Did you know soap and water are more effective than hand sanitizer (especially since you cannot find it)? To really get rid of any germs, wash for a minimum of 20 seconds – which is roughly the time it take s to sing your ABC’s at a steady pace.

Be sneeze- and cough-courteous. Coughing or sneezing into the inner crook of your arm catches the droplets that would otherwise end up in the air or on the surfaces around you. The COVID-19 virus is primarily transmitted through respiratory droplets, not through breathing, so this is important to stop the spread of any germs, not just COVID-19.

Avoid the face! The easiest way to get sick (with any kind of virus) is to introduce germs from your hands to mucus membranes – like your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoiding contact with these areas will greatly reduce the risk of getting sick.

Relax at Home. If you’re not feeling well whether it’s COVID-19 or the standard head cold, please stay home, cuddle with your loyal pet and catch up on your favorite show.

Outside your home

Wipe it down. If you do need to go to the store for some essentials, utilize the wet wipes at the grocery store entrance to clean the cart handle. Wipe it down and let it air dry for a few moments before heading in to get what you need.

Organize it. A clutter free counter space  makes it easier to run a cleaning cloth across the surface and disinfect it (Plus it looks nicer).

Personal bubbles. Keep at least 3 feet (Ideally 6 feet) between you and someone who is sneezing or coughing and avoid any touching, even a fist bump.

Limit sharing.  Usually sharing is a sign of love and caring, but for now the kindest thing you can do is avoid sharing food, drinks, even lotion or sanitizers – and the germs that ride with them. If you do want to share a squirt of hand sanitizer, pump the solution directly into their hands.

Breathe clean air. Big deep breaths of clean air is a good thing for your body and mind. Weather and location permitting, crack a window, talk a walk, meditate on the back porch or even yoga in the park (the sunshine producing vitamin D is an added bonus).

Taking Care of Yourself

Be your best self. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, drink lots of water and eat nutritious foods. A stressed body is a weak body, so manage your stress through exercise, meditation or conversation with a trusted friend.

Self-care matters. Caring for yourself is the best thing you can do for your overall health. You cannot help others if you are not taking care of yourself.

Supplements. While there are no specific remedies for the Coronavirus, there are some standard vitamins and supplements that can help support and strengthen your body. If there is a specific vitamin or supplement that you are looking for, give us a call and we can see what we have available, or we can order it for you.

We value the relationship that we have with you and appreciate the opportunity that you continue to give us to improve your health and benefit your life.
